Overview

Two Acres of Natural Ice

Our rink is made of natural ice — no refrigeration involved. We pack snow to make a base, then flood it with water once temperatures settle consistently below freezing. It sits right beside the lodge, with room for both family skating and pickup hockey, and the lights stay on every night for skating after dark.

Beginner Friendly

“First time on skates or just a little rusty — there's room here to find your footing.”

Our rink gives new and rusty skaters plenty of space to hang onto the dasher boards and take their time. Skate trainers are on hand to help with balance, and rental staff can set toddlers up with double-bladed skates. We also run free skate lessons on select Wednesday nights each winter.

Suggested Itinerary

Not sure how to spend your visit? Here's a simple way to make the most of your time on the ice.

1

Get Fitted

Grab a pair of skates at the rental window — figure or hockey, sized from a toddler's shoe size 9 up to a men's 14 — or lace up your own.

2

Find Your Footing

Head out onto the two-acre rink. Dasher boards and skate trainers give beginners plenty to hold onto, and free lessons run select Wednesday nights.

3

Skate The Trail

Follow the quarter-mile lighted figure-eight loop through the white pine forest for a completely different kind of skate.

4

Play Some Hockey

Grab a stick and helmet and jump into a pickup game in the pond hockey area — a helmet is required any time you're holding a stick.

Ice Skating Trail

Skate Through The Woods

Our one-of-a-kind skating trail loops a quarter mile in a figure eight through the white pine forest. It's about five feet wide with smooth ice, and it's lighted every night.

Weather can force us to close the rink or skate trail on short notice — check our conditions page before you visit for the latest ice report.

Try Ice Biking

The ice bike is an alternative way to enjoy the ice rink. Participants pedal the bike on the ice, which is equipped with two skate blades on the front and a fat tire on the rear. This piece of equipment is useful to people who are not used to or have difficulty balancing on ice skates.

Pond Hockey

There's room on the ice for hockey too. We supply goal boxes, and rental helmets and sticks are available for anyone who wants to jump into a pickup game. Remember — if you've got a stick in your hand, you need a helmet on your head.
