Plan Your Visit

What to Expect

A little planning goes a long way. Here's everything you need to know from what to wear to how we keep everyone safe, season by season.

Before You Arrive

Passes & Parking

Zip line and winter luge spaces are limited and fill up quickly, so we recommend purchasing those passes in advance. Day passes for snowshoeing in the winter, and wheel luge, archery and rock climbing in the summer, can be purchased when you visit.

We're located inside Muskegon State Park, so every vehicle entering — including at our facility — needs a Michigan DNR Recreation Passport. If you don't already have one, you can purchase it at our lodge or at park headquarters.

Spectators never need a pass — cheering on friends and family is always free.

What to Wear

Dress for the Adventure

You'll be outside for your entire visit, so plan accordingly for the season.

Warm Season

  • Closed-toe shoes — hiking boots or running shoes are best.
  • Check the forecast and bring a rain jacket if needed — we operate rain or shine.
  • Sunscreen and layers in case it turns cool.
  • Hats and sunglasses are welcome on the zip line.

Snow Season

  • You'll be outdoors for your entire visit, so dress to stay warm and dry.
  • Layer up and remove a layer when active — overdressing leads to sweating, which makes you colder once you slow down.
  • Winter hat, insulated (not finger) gloves, and insulated boots are recommended.
  • Warming tents and fire garden bonfires are available to take off the chill.

Safety First

Trained Staff, Every Step

Our staff is trained to monitor participants so all rules and instructions are followed — safety is shared between our team and every guest. Staff are trained in first response, first aid, and CPR, and are equipped with an Automatic Emergency Defibrillator.

Zip line and luge participants must be at least 48 inches tall and weigh at least 65 lbs. (maximum weight of 250 lbs for zip line). There are no age or size requirements for skiing, skating, snowshoeing, or archery.

Accessible for Every Guest

Every activity has multiple adaptations for guests with varying disabilities — track chairs, sit-skis, adapted zip line rigging, and more. Let us know what you need before you arrive and we'll have it ready. We also adapt on the spot.
