Snow Season
Cross-Country Skiing
Glide the groomed Nordic Nights trails through Muskegon State Park, lit up long after sunset.

Overview
Nordic Nights Trail System
Explore more than 15 kilometers of marked, groomed trails that roll gently through the woods, over the dunes, and along the edge of Lost Lake — a winter view of the same terrain our hikers cover every summer. Grooming crews set both skate and classical tracks daily whenever conditions allow, delivering some of the best gliding in West Michigan, and the lights stay on every night until the park closes.

Nordic Nights
“Every push of the pole trades the noise of the day for the quiet of the dunes.”
Our Nordic Nights trail system winds through the woods, over the dunes, and along the edge of Lost Lake — the same ground our hikers walk in summer, reshaped by snow into a different kind of adventure. With trails groomed daily and lighted every night until the park closes, there's no rush to beat the sunset. Whether you're gliding an easy loop near the lodge or chasing the hills on Spencer's Advanced, the trail asks the same thing every time: settle into your rhythm and let the dunes do the rest.
